Date Night

I'm straightening my long brown hair as I sing along to Haley William's part in "Airplanes". As I'm nearly done, I hear someone knock on my door. My guess is that it's either Gale or Nobara.

"It's open!" I yell out, maybe a little too loudly.

The door creaks open and Gale the Blue Jay walks in. She's one of my roommates, and my closest friend in high school. She's actually Babylonian, but she's never seen or visited her floating homeland of the stories. I look back at her with my mirror and I see that she's not wearing her pink jacket or her knee-high white and gray boots, only her light grey sports top and black shorts, making her wind-patterned marks on her arms and legs much more visible.

"Heya, Gale. What's up?"

"Nothing much," My avian friend says as she walks up to me, "But it looks like you need some help with your dress." She zips up the back for me.

I turn around after I fix my hair one last time. The dress is strapless and black, and has a red belt around my waist that has small white studs around it. It goes down to my knees and it has a spiked/ripped look at the ends. It reminds me of Tinkerbell's dress. And unfortunately, like the Disney movie, this dress makes my butt look bigger, which I wished I had noticed before. But the girls insist that Breeze won't notice. They're wrong. VERY wrong.

"So are you excited about your date tonight?" Gale asks. I feel the presence of others in my doorway, and look up to see Nobara the Seedrian and Anna the Succubus. She's dating Breeze's friend Gunner, and I invited her to live with us until the guys (and Breeze's sister, Tundra, who lives with them) get a larger house.

"A date with the lover boy Husky tonight, huh?" Anna asked. I know she got the name "lover boy" from Gunner.

"Yep!" I answer with a bright smile, "I wonder what he has planned. He won't tell me."

"Good!" my three roommates say in unison.

"Well I'm gonna find you some shoes. Anna, Nobara, finish her up," Gale says, well practically orders, as she heads to her room.

Gale walks in with black buckled wedges that I knew would be at my ankles. She helps me put them on as Nobara forms a black rose with red tips and puts it in my hair. Just as the girls finish working on me, the doorbell rings. Gale goes to answer the door and I hear her tell the guest to "make himself at home."

I had a feeling that it was Breeze. I turn off my computer, put on a gold heart necklace,  and make my way to the living room.

"Hi. You look beautiful," I hear a familiar and handsome voice say.

"Hi, Breeze. You look very nice yourself," I say as I blush and hug my boyfriend. I notice that he's wearing his form-fitting black dress shirt, tight black pants with small holes at his legs, and his black trench coat.

Before we walk out the door, we hear Anna call for Breeze. He goes to talk to her, and she messes with me by letting me watch them, but she, nor Breeze, will tell me what happened. I shrugged it off and we left for our date night.

"So, are you gonna tell me what you have planned now?" I ask my boyfriend, getting a little impatient.

Breeze chuckles, "Well.. Okay. I'm going to take you to a special restaurant and go to a carnival. Sound fun? "

"Sounds perfect, love."

We go to a nice French restaurant and we're taken to the back for a special candlelight dinner. When I asked how he even got this he said that he enlisted the help of Gunner, Cloud, and his sister, which surprised me because I thought that only Gunner liked me. He told me that he and Tundra also used their special ability to make perfect jewels out of their blood, and as he said that, he made me a ring with a heart shaped jewel that shined beautifully in the light. He smiled as I adored it. When the waiter came, Breeze ordered some chicken parmesan. I ordered fettuccini alfredo, my favorite pasta dish. They were even nice enough to put shrimp with it!

As we ate, Breeze noticed that I was wearing the necklace he got me for my birthday. I smiled as I nodded. The necklace has a gold heart pendant with two emeralds and a diamond. I still remember what he said to me when he gave it to me:

Not even this 14 carat gold heart with these beautiful jewels can even begin to express my love for you.

Breeze insisted that he fed me a few bites. I couldn't say no and let him, giggling like a little schoolgirl. We decided to let our stomachs settle and cuddle in the booth. All of the sudden, I feel a hand wander down my side and squeeze my bottom. I try not to squeak too loudly and Breeze chuckles in my ear.

"What's the matter, baby?" Breeze asks as his other hand moves down my back. "I thought you knew that I loved your butt."

I close my eyes and try to hide my face as I blush deeply. Breeze knows that I love how his voice gets when he whispers. He normally doesn't tease me much on a date. Only one person could have given him the idea to do this.

"Anna. She's gonna get it when I get home," I mumble as quietly as I can.

Thankfully Breeze stops so we can leave for the carnival. We buy 16 tickets and decide to ride the Ferris wheel first. I enjoy the view and the lights in the night sky. The wheel slows down and lets everyone have a chance to sit at the highest point. We were the fourth out of six riders. As we sit together at the top, Breeze scoots closer and kisses my neck. I assumed that Anna used her powers to make Breeze act like this and tease me. I giggled a little, deciding to let Anna off and not get mad at her. I turn to meet Breeze and we kiss. I make sure to have it start gently, but Breeze eventually took over and is getting as close as he can. He keeps the kiss up for a few more minutes and the ride ends.

We go off and play some carnival games. I decide to be nice and let him outshine me in the dart and ring toss games, but I beat him in the shooting and fishing games. As we celebrate our winnings over cotton candy, Breeze pulls me onto his lap and holds me close. After about five minutes, we decide to head home.

Breeze walks me up to the door and hugs me tightly, "Thank you for going out with me tonight. I had a great time."

I smile sweetly, "Of course. I had a good time too."

Breeze starts to walk away, but I can't let him go just yet, "Hey!" I call out, "Don't you want a good night kiss?"

With that, the sweet Husky turns, runs back to me, and kiss me tenderly. I immediately kiss back and feel him lift me up. I squeak but feel safe again as I feel that he has pushed me against the wall and playing with my hair. I feel the eyes of my roommates watching us from the living room window. Breeze notices too and reluctantly breaks the kiss and puts me down. Before he goes he whispers "I love you" into my ear. He walks away with his tail wagging. I giggle as I walk inside.

"Hey, Aki," Gale welcomes me as I enter the house.

"How was the date? Tell us everything!" Nobara gleefully says, jumping and giggling.

I smile and stretch, "Maybe in the morning. I'm kinda tired," I muse, still thinking about the kiss Breeze and I had at the front door.

Anna stops me as I walk into my room, "So how did you like my surprise?"

"What did you even do?" I ask with a raised eyebrow.

"I used a spell that would make him all over you as what happened throughout your date," the demon girl answered with a smirk.

"You crazy thing," I laugh, "Thanks. It was actually a lot of fun."

"No problem. If you want that to happen again, let me know," she offered with a wink.

I laugh again and close my door. As I put on my pajamas and lay down, I think to myself,

I just might take you up on that offer..
