Name Plate .:WIP:.

My first big project in Visual Design and Advertising.We're making a name plate to place at our work stations and we're supposed to make it show our talents and personalities through it. I wanted to combine Asian and Hippie aspects in my life. I'm not the only Hannah in the class so I had to put my last inital, which I dotted with a peace sign . I'm Japanese and Filipino, and my dad used to take me to Grateful Dead concerts and make tye-dye to sell with me everytime the group came to Indiana. I decided to use "Chinese Take Out" Font and color it in a hippie purple color, have the rising sun behind the letters and surround it in a rainbow circle with bright colors. I then wrote "Japanese Pride" on the left side, and my name in Katakana on the right. Then I drew the neko sushi (my DA avatar), a music note, a flower, and a mini Totoro (my favorite movie by the legendary Hayao Miyazaki). My teacher said I did a good job, but we won't know that for sure until I make the final product tomorrow. So far, I'm pretty proud of it ^w^
